Soft, comfy socks.

Nike Sports Quarter (white)

This is the only socks I am going to wear moving forward. I am sick of cheap socks that will lose the elasticity and holes everywhere after a few months. Furthermore, the fabric are too thin and doesn’t provide much cushion.

Nike Quarter Socks

Firstly wearing Nike socks means style. It has a little Nike tick on both sides on the sock. Since I wear Nike shoes too, it matches. Besides the looks, the provide different cushion thickness to different parts of the foot. The mid sole of the foot gets a big share of the cushion because it takes quite a lot of impact when running.

I choose the quarter length because I think wearing full length sock looks like sissy and it is hotter. A friend of mine from the US told me once that all ‘mens’ wear quarter. He says my full length sock looks like high school cheerleader. Sigh. That punk!

My Idol, Boa Kwon.

Boa Kwon (not for sale)

Arrr, she is lovely. I do review on Idols as well, haha. She is the girl next door that can really sing and dance. Her voice is really special not to mention she got cute moves.

Boa_Kwon

She is only 21 years old but her voice is getting matured and her appearance too. Her song have changed a great deal as well. She now sings more Japanese song because I think she is as popular in Japan as well as in Korea.

Boa also collaborated with many artist such as SNAP and US boy band Westlife (singing flying without wings). She has a total of 11 albums under her belt and I really look forward to attain all of them, one way or the digital way. : )

Web Review – Google Image Search

September 10, 2007 by Moomookun

Google Image Search

If I make a Ringgit for every time I used Google Image search, I think I will be very rich now. Entire image I used in this blog come from it. I think it is very intuitive idea for a search engine to display only images. Only can this idea comes from the market leader, Google.

GoogleSearch

Back when I was younger, I used to search picture of my ‘idols’ by browsing over countless website. Not only it was slow but it was not productive at all. Some site only gives you the thumbnail version, never the full image. Google resolves that by listing out the picture size as well. They make our life easier.

While it is convenient to search for ‘clean’ images, it can become a very abusive tool for the wrong purpose. While I may be an adult but I am worried how my future children will be thinking. Oh well, can’t be bother so much now. It’s fast, accurate and best of all FREE! Nothing beats that.

Me, Cookie Monster.

Oreo Double Stuf

I was thinking, I just can’t write my blog without doing a review on my favorite cookie. Oreo! I like Double Stuf type best because the stuffing is double. Double the pleasure to my tongue. Not many people like Oreo but I adore it, I just have to buy a pack every time I walk pass the shelf.

Oreo_DoubleStuf

I have seen the TV ad that showing little kids eating them by plunging half the cookie down a milk cup. I personally like it raw, no added juice or drinks. The thing I like Oreo is that, it has the sweetness that just lingers in the wall of your mouth. So unique.

Once I open a pack, I can’t leave it alone till I finish it. I bet my diabetes level will shoot up high after the walloping. It does have a bad point else I would have given it a perfect 10 grass. If you look at your poo after consuming Oreo, you will know why. They looked black! Yucks.

Nokia is My Favourite

September 8, 2007 by Moomookun

Nokia 3310

After using my Motorola cd928 for a few years, I decided to change a new phone. Furthermore, the old hand phone battery was growing weaker and couldn’t last long. My aunt was working in one of Singapore’s biggest Telco and she says she can hook me up with a cheap unit. Under table style.

Nokia3310

One of the primary interest why I switched brand is because Nokia have the snake game. Haha. It was very popular during my time. Always trying to beat friend’s score at the game. Nokia too have a very pleasant ring tone unlike boring Motorola.

However, the phone is a bit too heavy for my liking. It was built as tough as Motorola, shattering to pieces if you drop it too hard. Once you put it back, it will work like charm. Unfortunately, during one of my trip to KL, I was robbed by a bunch of Malays kids. They ambushed me and grabbed my phone. Sob. I couldn’t fight back because there was like 5 of them. I miss that phone.

I am Sacking It!

Linksys WRT54

This was one of the very worst purchase for year 2007. I read the review before I brought it. I didn’t know there were many revision to this model. Some have less RAM and some ran on Linux. It was freaking confusing and I ended buying the wrong revision.

LinksysWrt54

The correct revision was 2.00 or 3.00 but the one I have is 5.00. Sigh. It has slower processor, lesser RAM and it hangs once in a while. The signal of the WiFi is weak, over 2 rooms and the signal strength is dropped by half! I guess the double antenna doesn’t helps.

The reason I am getting rid of it is because I saw the router reboot the WiFi capability by itself yesterday. Numerous times! I know because the router’s WiFi light was turning off and on. Imagine playing World of Warcraft with such gear, it is a nightmare. It was expensive too, I think it cost me around RM200. When my new Buffalo WiFi comes, bye bye Linksys.

My First Mobile Phone.

September 6, 2007 by Moomookun

Motorola cd928

My god, that was a classic. I remember that my mom brought it for me during my first year in the university days. During that time, mobile phone was very rare, it was the ‘wow’ gadget of the teens. I wanted to be a part of them so I ‘persuaded’ her to buy for me. Muahaha.

MotorolaCD928

Ya, I know the shape of the phone is weird but when I saw it, I love it because it was special. The flip was very cool, it felt high tech when you open and close it. People around would just pay attention to you. Feature wise, nothing special but I like the built in voice recorder! I recorded many weird conversation and I used to threaten people with it. Haha.

This phone is a tough one, I once put in my Nike pouch and it was soaking in water when I was riding my bike. I got home and was devastated seeing it. My house mate which was a senior Engineering student helped me open the entire phone up and let it dry. Guess what, after it was put back together, it still work! This phone also survived dropping over 20 steps of stairs, ops. I think I brought it with a price tag of RM1200.

Cleaning Out the Leftovers.

OralB Cross Action Tooth Brush

I have two wisdom tooth growing at the back of my mouth. They both come out late so the teeth grew skewed to one side. Generally speaking, that causes a gap between the teeth. After every meal, food get stuck in between! It is frustrating.

OralB_CrossAction

I used many brands along the way, Colgate for example but most of them doesn’t have that angled crooked head which can reach the gap. This toothbrush can do it easily. However, it does wear off after around 6 months of usage. They bend outwards and soften up thus losing it’s effectiveness. You will have to replace them.

I spend around RM13 for this little fellow but I think it is worth every sen. It is worth the most when you picks out that tiny piece of meat that just won’t come out using your tongue to flick it. Use OralB daily to get less appointment to the dentist. I have phobia about them. Sigh.

My Tough Mousey.

September 4, 2007 by Moomookun

Logitech Wheel Mouse

I think the best item to kick off my campaign is my mouse I have been using for years. To be exact, I have been using since the third year of my University study. That would be around year 2002 which puts my mouse to aged close to 5 years!

Logitech Wheel Mouse
This little mouse is a one tough rodent, I must have dropped it at least 100 times and yet he still works like a charm. I like it because it is a no brain-er, I can points and shoot without complicating weight or calibration and lastly it is very light as well. It won’t cause you to build up finger and palm muscle over long time.

I think I brought it for around RM40 which was considered very expensive during that time. Most of the mouse was still using ball and wheels when I got this. I think the reason I brought it was because I wanted to play Counter Strike.

The First Talk.

September 3, 2007 by Moomookun

I have this thing for writing, I don’t know what it is but sometimes I have so much to say. This Moomootalk blog is a platform for me to talk about material item in life. I guess I could make a few bucks over it by reviewing about products and services from those paid for post. I think it will be a splendid idea.

Moomootalk

I think the theme for this blog would mainly cover about reviews. I always have something to say about something, either good or bad. I think it would be great for someone to have a site to check out certain items/services before buying . To me, I have very little resources in life, I have even limited opportunity to make mistakes.

My primary interest in life are technological item but I will cover anything that I can see. That would be fair. So, do come back often as I will try to write at least 1 post per day. It is difficult sometimes due to hectic schedule but I promised, I will try. This is an opportunity for me to improve my command of English as well. Cheers!
